J108 - Bukit Batok West year-end update

Bukit Batok West station is the third station to be built under contract J108. Located next to the Pan Island Expressway (PIE), the station has seen slower progress compared to its sister stations Tengah Park and Tengah Plantation. Nonetheless the site has been cleared and piling works have commenced at the station site. A new, temporary ramp is being constructed to allow for the demolition of the existing ramp to facilitate construction works.

In the coming year, more noise barriers can be expected to be constructed near the HDB blocks to minimize noise disturbance to residents. Piling works for the viaduct piers would likely commence near the site boundary with contract J109 and move progressively further out. This would be followed by pier casting and viaduct construction thereafter.
