16 December 2022 - A view of the station support piers coming up in the road median. |
Station support piers are now visible in the road median at Jurong West station. These piers will enable the concourse level to be elevated above the roadway below. Similar to Corporation station to the east, we expect that crossheads may be constructed next to allow precast beams to be laid, forming the concourse slab level.

Meanwhile, to the west, several viaduct piers can be seen at various stages of construction. The most advanced of these is currently having its crosshead constructed. Further west, other piers are having the main shaft built whilst others have the pier bases emerging.

With more piers constructed & ready, viaduct segment launching works will be able to commence. This can be expected to occur in 2023 and will likely start at this site, moving towards the west and Bahar Junction station. Do stay tuned as we continue to update on the various rail construction sites to wrap up 2022.
