Several of the Jurong Region Line (JRL) civil contracts have their casting yards co-located within Tengah new town near the site of the Tengah Depot. These are for contracts J103, J105, J106 & J107. Contract J102's casting yard is also within Tengah new town, but located at the other end near the junction of Brickland Road & Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3. Lastly we know that contract J108's casting yard, also located within Tengah, is located near the Tengah junction where the east & west routes diverge. This leaves a number of contracts whose casting yards are not yet accounted for - namely J109, J110, J111, J112, J113 & J115A.

Earlier in May, we came across a site located at 10 Tractor Road which appeared vacated. Along the site we noticed a traffic cone with marked with the contract number - J111 - and the abbreviated name of the contractor China Harbour (Singapore) Engineering Co. As contract J111 is for the construction of Enterprise & Tukang stations, the sites should largely be above Jalan Boon Lay. This leaves us to believe that this site will be used as a casting yard.

Earlier photos show the site to be vegetated and green with work yet to begin. However, several months later and most of the buildings and vegetation that once used to stand on site have been cleared.
