So we're going to try something new, given that we're aware our quarterly updates take extremely long and don't seem to be current enough. Here's a snapshot of the progress of the Jurong Region Line (JRL) stations under phases 1 and 2 as of end-July or August 2023. We'll try to see if we can do these for more current updates once a month to give you an idea of the latest progress, on top of the compiled quarterly progress updates.
Phase 1
Tengah Depot (Contract J101)
In a nutshell: Various works are taking place ranging from structural works to foundation works. The electrical substation is the most visible building structure at the moment.

JS1 - Choa Chu Kang (Contract J102)
In a nutshell: Casting works are ongoing at the station for the columns that will support the new platform & trackbeds for the JRL. Some hoarding has gone up around the northern atrium at platform level to facilitate works taking place below.

JS2 - Choa Chu Kang West (Contract J102)
In a nutshell: Structural works at various stages are taking place along Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3. Some of the station columns are being prepared for casting of the concourse level slab.

JS2A - Forest Hill (Contract J102, provisional future station)
In a nutshell: Station columns have been cast up to the platform level. It is expected that the station's concourse will be located at ground level on the road side table.

JS3 - Tengah (Contract J102)
In a nutshell: Very difficult to get a great view of this station until the flats at Tengah become accessible. On a best-guess basis, they should be working on the station structure at lower platform level.

JS4 - Hong Kah (Contract J103)
In a nutshell: Casting of station columns appears to be completed to the concourse level. The station will be located at the road side table but features an elevated concourse instead of a ground-level one.

In a nutshell: Construction of the concourse slab is ongoing. A launch gantry appears to have been delivered to site and is being assembled for viaduct construction.

JS6 - Jurong West (Contract J105)
In a nutshell: Work is ongoing to cast the cantilevered crossheads for the station piers. Further down, viaduct piers are at various stages of completion and viaduct segment launching works finally in full swing.

JS7 - Bahar Junction (Contract J105)
In a nutshell: Busy, busy month with the reconfiguration of the junction where the station will span across - the intersection of Jurong West Avenue 4 with Streets 64 & 75. Bored piling & construction of the station piers along Jurong West Avenue 4 (towards Avenue 2) is also underway.

JS8 - Boon Lay (Contract J106)
In a nutshell: Major works ongoing to construct the station structure both beneath and above the existing East-West Line (EWL) tracks. Further to the north, viaduct segment launching works are progressing smoothly with approximately 12 spans completed.

JW1 - Gek Poh (Contract J107)
In a nutshell: Work is continuing on connecting the station piers together before launching of the precast crossheads for the concourse level. To the north, viaduct segment launching is in progress with approximately 2 spans completed. To the south, work is under way for the remaining viaduct piers.

JE1 - Tengah Plantation (Contract J108)
In a nutshell: Works are progressing on the concourse level slab & columns. Casting of the pier crossheads is also taking place so that viaduct construction can be completed soon as residents will begin moving into the estate shortly.

In a nutshell: Station structure is slowly creeping upwards with most of the columns cast to the elevated concourse level. Recently, the second launch gantry has started work on launching viaduct segments at the cripple siding area south of the station structure.

In a nutshell: Viaduct piers near the contract boundary with J109 are beginning to take shape. Similarly, the footings for the station structure are beginning to emerge.

In a nutshell: Station columns are being cast progressively from west to east. Works have commenced to hoard up spaces at platform level for the construction of new plant rooms.

In a nutshell: The station structure is growing slightly with the service chambers being cast below the ground floor. A viaduct pier to the south is partially cast.
