The second station being built under contract J111 is Tukang. Located at the southern end of Jalan Boon Lay, near the namesake Jalan Tukang, the station will serve industrial buildings at the southern part of the Jurong Industrial Estate. Of the two stations under the contract, Tukang is the one slower in progress. This update covers the slight changes noted at the site over the first half of 2023.

In Q1, preparations were underway towards the end of Jalan Boon Lay for road diversions. The area where the station is to be sited though was still in the initial stages of site preparation. Not a whole lot was going on within the contract J111 area specifically. The contract boundary with neighbouring contract J112 is located closer to the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE).

At the beginning of Q2, there were some progress by way of road diversions at the junction with International Road as a result of the spillover of works from the nearby Enterprise station to the north. The station site itself, however, still remained the same with little difference compared to Q1. Further south, road diversion preparation was underway at the contract boundary area.

Finally, the area around the station site began to look a little different with tree felling works having taken place. This will enable works to take place after, including road diversions to make way for the station structure which will likely sprout up in the road median here. To the south, near the contract boundary area, betonite silos have been put up to facilitate boring works.
