You may have come across some mention of a future in-fill station located between Choa Chu Kang West and Tengah stations on the Jurong Region Line (JRL). How true is the existence of this station? Are we sure there are provisions for such a station? While we have previously covered this topic as a story on our Instagram & Facebook channels, we're now doing up a blog post on the topic of this future station which we'll be referring to as JS2A or Forest Hill, after the Tengah district in which it will be located.
The above series of images was previously run as a story on our Instagram & Facebook channels as a story feature. All the pertinent information has been listed and summarised as a quick reference, but here are some of the facts once again:
- Within contract J102.
- Located between Choa Chu Kang West (JS2) and Tengah (JS3) stations.
- Station will be built as a provisional station for future fit out.
- Some of the maps produced show the indicative location of the station, after the bend upon entering Tengah from Choa Chu Kang.

Additionally, during the initial exhibition of Tengah New Town by HDB in 2016, there were several indicators of the future JRL station locations that were not announced as yet. One such location was where JS2A would have been located. Unfortunately, due to a hard drive failure, we had lost images of that particular location.
September 2016 - The JRL signage indicates the location of the future Hong Kah station. |

The closest we could come to sourcing images were to obtain images already on the internet to highlight the formerly visible JS2A station on the HDB town model.

We hope that this post has helped to de-mystify the presence of a future in-fill station for the JRL located between two stations under construction at JS2 and JS3. We look forward to continued progress which will make this provisional station become even more apparent in time to come. Do stay tuned as we bring you more progress updates.
