12 February 2023 - An overview of the Hong Kah station site in front of Tengah town. |
Recently progress at Hong Kah station seems to have taken off with the structure of the station beginning to take shape. Station piers are coming up visibly and show how the station will integrate with the viaduct. As some of these pictures are from February and others from April, this update spans between quarter 1 and quarter 2 of the year. Depending how things progress, we may do a further update towards the end of Q2.
Quarter 1 2023
In this quarter, some of the station piers towards the northern end of the station are under construction with little else visible through the rest of the station site. Formwork was noted towards the southern edge of the station site however, signifying that works there could potentially be starting.

Quarter 2 2023
Early on in this quarter, the piers formerly under construction at the northern end of the station have now been cast and the scaffolding removed. Just ahead of the station, 2 movement joint piers can be seen as well. Towards the southern end of the station site, further station piers can now be seen under construction as well wrapping in scaffolding.

Now that the station piers are up, the structure of the station can slowly be seen. It appears that the concourse level will be at level 2 and the platform at level 3. Do stay tuned as we bring more updates as the site progresses.
