Contract J103 was one of the first contracts for the Jurong Region Line (JRL) to be awarded. One of the stations under this contract is Corporation station located next to the site of the former Jurong Junior College. Work on the station has been progressing steadily with crossheads for the station piers being constructed. This will serve to support the station's concourse level via T-beams which will be installed between the crossheads, forming the flooring of the said level.

Corporation station will sit in the road median of Jurong West Avenue 2. Currently, both bounds of the roadway have been diverted to the north to allow for construction work access to take place. It may be possible for the road to be diverted back once again after the construction of the piers in the road median is completed - time will tell if this is the desired construction sequencing for this contract. Meanwhile, views from the adjacent roadway offer a different view of the site.

The contract also involves the construction of a section of the line that will interface with the depot. A total of 4 trackways leading to 3 reception tracks for the depot will be built alongside the mainline viaduct. A complicated spaghetti-like network of viaducts is thus necessary to allow the line to thread through along the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) while allowing connections to the stations & depots for operation.
5 February 2023 - The mainline will run south of the PIE but the tracks to the depot will begin crossing over first. |
5 February 2023 - The mainline viaduct will hug the canal next to the PIE. |

Circulars put up at nearby blocks detail the anticipated upcoming works and their respective timeframes for Q1 of 2023. The scope of works has not changed drastically and still involves excavation, piling & casting works.

Work at Corporation station is progressing steadily. We look forward to the time upon which the contract can begin viaduct segment launching works, like neighbouring contracts J105, J106 & J108. Do stay tuned as we update on the progress at the various contracts of the JRL.
