In the time since our last update, we've been grateful to have been supplied with information by Ms. Audrey Teo who lives near to the upcoming Gek Poh station. In a circular to residents, the Land Transport Authority explains the upcoming works under contract J107.

The circular begins by explaining to stakeholders near Contract J107 that the contactor chosen is Sembawang Design and Construction (SDC), a wholly owned subsidairy of Chip Eng Seng (CES). Several annexes then follow to indicate the location of the contract within the overall Jurong Region Line (JRL) network and specifically the alignment within contract J107 in relation to the location.

A list of upcoming works spanning quarter 1 of 2021 is listed - ranging from preparatory works to utility diversion works. Most of the planned preparatory works are to be completed by April 2021. However sewer and drain diversion works will take a little longer, lasting till July 2021.

Also affected are some facilities within the neighbourhood, most notably the fitness corner which is located opposite from Gek Poh shopping centre. While not mentioned, the bus stop is also likely to be relocated during the construction process, as will be the pedestrian pavements in the area.

As construction works ramp up, we'll update on further works as they progress.
