From Tengah, the line is likely to cross over the PIE in order to get to Jurong West Avenue 2. It is envisioned that the depot for the line will be located at portion of land bounded by Bulim Avenue, Jurong West Avenue 2 and the PIE - south of the Jurong Innovation District.

At the junction with Jalan Bahar and Jalan Boon Lay, the line is likely to turn south to head towards Boon Lay and Jurong Industrial Estate. The NTU branch will most likely branch off by heading north along Jurong West Street 64 and Jurong West Street 75. This will take the line towards Gek Poh before crossing the PIE again and entering the Cleantech district. From there it will be a short hop towards NTU.

The Jurong Industrial Estate is likely to continue its alignment along Jalan Boon Lay to Jurong Pier Road, ending around the Jalan Buroh junction.
