Boon Lay (Contract J106)
In a nutshell: With the viaduct construction element of the contract complete, the casting yard at Tengah Depot has since been reinstated. Works to tidy up the contract site have commenced, with the reconstruction of the road median at the northern end of the site.
At the station site, work continues to advance the construction of the paid transfer linkway. Exit D of the existing East-West Line station has seen further closures, presumably to begin the task of relocating the faregates further out to provide extra circulation space within the paid concourse area.
Over at the casting yard for the contract, next to Tengah Depot, the site had since been reinstated with turfing planted over the former staging area where components such as viaduct box girder segments, parapet walls and cable troughs were cast.

In a nutshell: Roofing works continued at the station, as parapet walls were installed along the completed section of viaduct crossing the Pan Island Expressway (PIE). Within the station, staircases were being cast, linking the concourse level with the platform level above. Judging from the length of the staircases, approximately 4 flights tall, the concourse level may feature a high, double height ceiling above.

Phase 2
The second phase of the line is a mixed bag of progress, with contract J108 being ahead of the pack. This contract has all stations working on the roof frame installation, with some also beginning escalator installation works. A handful of viaduct spans remain to be completed near Bukit Batok West station. Contract J109 by contrast, still has a fair way to go with its station structures - each station featuring differing levels of completion. Viaduct segment launching works were underway, with significant stretches to go, leaving the contract far from completion in this regard. Bringing up the rear were contract J110 and J120 in the Jurong East vicinity, with progress made but nowhere near the degree seen under contract J108.
JE1 - Tengah Plantation (Contract J108)
In a nutshell: As parts of the station's roof frame truss was installed, work began on escalator installation as well. The station will feature 3 escalators between the concourse and platform levels, with 1 installed thus far under blue tarpaulin covers. Site clearing had been completed for the construction of the station's exits as well. Approximately 4.5 spans remain to be constructed for the viaduct to connect to phase 1's completed viaduct under contract J102.

JE2 - Tengah Park (Contract J108)
In a
nutshell: With most of the station's structure completed, works continued to plod along on the station's interior and roof structure. The exit podium outside Dulwich College along Bukit Batok Road was also progressing. Just south of the station, a trackworks staging area was being prepared ahead of works for rail laying which would likely commence within the year.

JE3 - Bukit Batok West (Contract J108)
In a
nutshell: Most of the station has had its structure completed, save for the eastern-most segment which will connect to the piers supporting the movement & expansion joint connecting the station building with the viaduct span structure. 4 of the 6 diamond columns for the roof frame were installed, with trusses being added on at the station's western end. Launch gantry Rock Steady lived up to its name, making steady progress. We believe that the final span for each trackway will be constructed using the trestle method, thus the gantry should be done with its job once the current span has been lowered into its final position. With this, approximately 1.5 spans remain for each trackway to be completed - 1 each near the station's eastern end and a half span each near Bukit Batok Road.

In a
nutshell: Major works were underway for the construction of the viaduct along Jurong East Central. At several points, casting works were in progress for several portal piers that would stretch across the northbound carriageway. At other viaduct piers, segment launching works were about to begin with hanger beams delivered to site, awaiting installation atop the pier crosshead. On the station front, works were underway for the casting of concourse level beams.

Tracks through Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub
(Contract J120)
In a
nutshell: The viaduct spans through the integrated transport hub have been completed for some time but parapet wall installation works appeared to have stagnated previously. Through the past month, these appeared to have recommenced again. In addition, part of the staging area for works was reinstated with turfing planted and the hoarding removed near the junction of Jurong East Central and Jurong Gateway Road.

JE5 - Jurong East (Contract J110)
In a nutshell: The station building continues to climb with columns reaching above the upper platform level now. These are visible from JEM, over the height of the existing station building and will likely be where the roof of the new JRL station will be. Modification works to the existing station can also be seen, with additional emergency escape stairs taking shape for Platforms A & B at the station's eastern end.
Works to construct a replacement plant room to house electrical equipment on platforms C & D has recently completed. Equipment will progressively be moved here to allow for the demolition of the old cabinets and new sets of escalators installed in its place, providing additional vertical circulation within the station. At the westbound Platform F, slabs for the new platform under the JRL additional structure could be seen, with hoarding separating the work site from the active trackway. The structure here was constructed from a metal frame system, overlaid with concrete slabs, known as a bondek system.

JE6 - Jurong Town Hall (Contract J109)
In a
nutshell: The launch gantry along Jurong Town Hall Road had completed segment launching as far west along the road as possible and subsequently returned towards the station. Re-launching from the station, the first span was under construction just south of the station building. The station building itself had attained structural completion as far as the platform level. Presumably, roof frame installation works would follow, now that the launch gantry had successfully passed through the station building.

JE7 - Pandan Reservoir (Contract J107)
In a
nutshell: Part of the phase 2 terminus station had reached the platform level and was covered in scaffolding to support casting work for the platform level beams and trackbed. The remaining half towards the south was left at the concourse level, with further works to progress once casting for the northern section was complete.
At the over run track, the contract's second launch gantry had since completed approximately 8 viaduct spans along West Coast Road. The crossheads for subsequent viaduct piers were in various stages of completion.

Phase 3 (South)
The southern section of phase 3, through the industrial sectors of Jurong, was showing slow but steady progress. Several viaduct piers had since popped up around Tukang and Jurong Hill station sites, which were noticeably emptier before. Diaphragm wall construction works were also in progress at Jurong Pier station, the only JRL station to feature an underground component as one of the station's exits will be connected via an underpass.
JS9 - Enterprise
(Contract J111)
In a nutshell: Casting works were in progress for the station's platform level beams and trackbed. Of all the phase 3 southern section stations, this was the most advanced in construction. Viaduct segment launching was also well underway on either side of the station, with the portal pier over Jalan Boon Lay recently completed.

- Jurong Hill (Contract J112)
In a nutshell: The previous 3 station piers have now become approximately 5, with a further 2 piers under construction. Precast crosshead segment launching was taking place for the second pier of the earlier three to be formed, near the southern end of the station. At the station's northern end, an additional viaduct pier had since been cast, with works set to begin on casting the crosshead shortly as well. Over across the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE), one viaduct span was since completed. Works were ongoing using lifting frames to complete a second span, approximately 2 segments in each direction away from completion.

- Jurong Pier (Contract J112)
In a nutshell: The hydrofraise machine on site was finally in use, digging a diaphragm wall that would support excavation of an underpass connecting to one of the station's exits. It is presumed that such a connection would in future also connect with the Cross Island Line's station box, allowing direct transfers between both lines. Apart from the three columns cast under the Jurong Pier-bound track, rebar for other columns in the station had begun appearing as well.

Phase 3 (North)
The northern section of phase 3 has progressed swiftly with numerous viaduct piers under contract J115A taking shape along Nanyang Drive. Contract J113 is no straggler either, with the station buildings for both stations progressing well. Several viaduct piers remain to be constructed in the vicinity of the Nanyang Gateway station, but these should come up in a matter of time based on how other sections of the contract have progressed thus far.
JW3 - Nanyang Gateway (Contract J113)
In a nutshell: With Nanyang Avenue since reinstated under the station, the former diverted roadway had been cleared, creating a workspace from which the missing Choa Chu Kang-bound viaduct piers could be built. Works at the station itself had reached the platform level, with works likely continuing as the remaining viaduct piers were constructed.

In a nutshell: The terminus of the western route also began to make its presence felt, with columns for the station building stretching upwards. These would support the platform level, sandwiched between two concourse levels on either side of the station. Further south, works for one of the viaduct pier crossheads was underway, with scaffolding erected to aid with concrete pouring. At the other end of the station, viaduct segment launching works were well underway, with three spans completed to date and launching from a fourth pier about to begin. Construction of the crossover deck was also well underway just north of the station building.
