J107 - Gek Poh year-end update

Gek Poh may be a small sleepy suburb within Jurong West, but the progress of construction at the station site here is hardly anything to snooze at. Piers for both the viaduct and station have sprung up and are continuing to make progress ahead of viaduct construction work that is likely to commence next year.

One should expect more progress in the coming year at this site as works swing to viaduct construction. The station is likely to have its concourse level cast as well, similar to Corporation & Jurong West stations, potentially utilising pre-cast beams to speed up construction. Do stay tuned as we bring you more updates on the various rail construction sites & we wish you happy holidays!

  1. The casting yard for the Tawas to Boon Lay section is very likely at Tawas, then the viaduct casting will probably be delivered southwards from Tawas.

    1. However we are extremely confident that the casting yard is located at the Tengah depot. The casting yards for contracts J101, J103, J105, J106 & J107 are located there, along the northern-most stretch of the site.
