Bukit Batok West station is located at the south-western side of Bukit Batok Town, serving the southern portion of the estate. A more appropriate name for the station would be Bukit Batok South, leaving the option open for potential future lines to serve Bukit Batok West further up north.

16 April 2018 - The approximate site of the future Bukit Batok West station before construction begins. |
Currently, the site is a large green field located along the Pan Island Expressway (PIE). Directly across the PIE is the north side of Yuhua estate, which will also have easy access to the station through a pedestrian bridge across the expressway.

Much of the field site is zoned as a reserve site by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). The land can be developed when a private developer puts in a bid acceptable to the government,

Due to the available land at the site, this would make it a potential location for a casting yard for viaduct segments or track work installation. As to whether this site will be used for such purposes remains to be seen once actual construction begins.
