Choa Chu Kang interchange render

Choa Chu Kang interchange - taken from OneMap

We recently came across a potential render of the Choa Chu Kang interchange showing the North South Line (NSL) MRT station, Bukit Panjang (BP) LRT station, new Choa Chu Kang bus interchange and the Jurong Region Line (JRL) MRT station.

Based on the above image, the Jurong Region Line station is visible to the behind of the North South Line station, featuring a flat roof. This may not, and is very unlikely to be, the final station design and serves as a mere representation visually of the location and context of the various transport nodes once the bus interchange moves over to the new site behind Lot 1 Shopper's Mall.

With the Jurong Region Line coming in, it is noted that certain existing blocks may have to make way for the new infrastructure. Due to the limited corridor width, most likely block 303 will have to make way once the bus interchange moves out to its new location. Block 303 is noticeably absent in the above render, lending credence to the speculation that it may be acquired to make way for the new line.
