After years of awaiting for announcements pertaining to this line, we have fine tuned our station predictions based on available information. We are certain that the official station locations will be announced this year. The above image is a mock up of the line map that may be used in the train interiors. Please bear in mind that this production is solely intended for visualization purposes and that the JRL Construction Blog is not affiliated with the Land Transport Authority (LTA). The official alignment, line colour and schematic will be produced by the LTA.

With reference to the above map, these are the station listings (inclusive of the West Coast Extension to Haw Par Villa.

Predicted station list for JRL including West Coast Extension which is to be built later than the initial system
The initial system is expected to have a total of 26 stations, including 3 interchanges with future lines. Studies are being done on the feasibility of adding on a West Coast Extension which would link the line up to the Circle Line subsequently. However, not all the 26 stations will be built at the point where the initial system is constructed.

We understand that the line would see a phased opening with a total of 3 phases, excluding the West Coast Extension. Within these phases, 2 stations which will be built at a later time than the others. The first being JR3 - Lam San / Tengah North which may be completed when developments in that area of Tengah new town come online.

The second station that may be built at a later date would be JR26 - Pandan Loop / West Coast Vale as this station will be potentially integrated with the Cross Island Line (CRL). In view that the CRL will not be built as soon as the JRL, this station would likely be built only once construction for the CRL commences in order to ensure full seamless integration.

With the official announcement due to be made in 2018, we hope that this prediction will allow our readers to have an idea of how the JRL will shape up once it is constructed. Do stay tuned in the days to come as we update the blog with more information.
