J110 & J120 - Jurong East & ITH update Q1 2024

The section of Jurong Region Line (JRL) near Jurong East is being constructed under 2 contracts connected to contract J109 on either end. Jurong East station is being built under contract J110 while the Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) and associated viaducts are being built under contract J120. Through Q1 both contracts have seen the casting of various sections of the project under their care. We take a closer look at the progress made over Q1 in this update.

J109 - Toh Guan, Jurong Town Hall & Pandan Reservoir update Q1 2024

Contract J106 entails the construction of Toh Guan, Jurong Town Hall and Pandan Reservoir stations. Over the past quarter, the most changes can be seen over at Toh Guan station with the formwork for the first station pier's concourse level crosshead can be seen. At Jurong Town Hall however, things were a little slower with casting work continuing over at the concourse level slab. Pandan Reservoir station saw similar progress, with work still mostly focused on the street level foundations and underfloor cable troughs. We'll dive deeper into the works at the various sites under the contract.

Just like that we've slid into May. We tried our best this month but somehow with our schedules, were not able to cover the Jurong Region Line (JRL) in its entirety. J108 - Tengah Plantation, Tengah Park & Bukit Batok West update Q1 2024

Contract J108 is the first of two contracts that cover three stations each - the other being neighbouring contract J109 which we'll be covering in the following post. Over the first three months of the year, work has been chugging along with viaduct spans taking shape and the station buildings slowly being cast. We take a closer look at the three stations under this contract - Tengah Plantation, Tengah Park & Bukit Batok West - in greater detail after the jump.
